Why Dog Tags Niagara

Hi Everyone!

I choseDog Tags Niagra because I wanted to help animals  and  veterans. I like animals because the're cuddly and loving.Animals don't get mad, sad, and animals don't bully or judge.  Its mean and rude to judge and bully animals and peaple. Also another way I like animals is because the're adorable.

I want to help veterans because  they fight back for our country.  They sign up to fight for our country knowing they might get hurt or die and not everyone can or wants to do that.  They are very brave and honorable.  I am proud of my Uncle Billy, Great Grandpa, Great Uncle, and many more who have fought in wars for our country.

Mommy is going to update a few things now.

Hi All!  We are getting close to event date!  Final Pre-order flower orders need to be in by May 23rd.  We will have a limited number of plants available at the event.  We have some great prizes for kids to go along with the games Kyle is making.  Plush plants and pin wheels.  We will have a balloon artist from 1230-130 creating some awesome sculptures.

We are seeking volunteers who are willing to make salads or desserts for the event.  If you are able to make something, please let me know.  We are going to have hotdogs, huggies and water available along with the salads and desserts.  Types of salads we are looking for Macaroni, Potato, Pasta, etc.

Kyle's class is currently collecting the items needed for the shelter,  I want to thank Mrs. Dinse for helping with the board of education approval and spearheading the drive on the second grade team!

Final details about the event will be posted on here and Facebook hopefully the week before.  Details available now:

June 7th from 12p-4p we will be at Fairmount Park in Wheatfield, NY.  Corner of Stieg Rd and Nash Rd.  Pavilion #3(Octagon)  Admission to event is to bring a needed item ( Collars, leashes, food, beds, toy, treats) or have ordered plants.  We will have hotdogs, salads, drinks and desserts available for free with admission but will accept donations.  Balloon artist will be on site from 1230-130pm.  Carnival games and prizes will be set up as well.  Paracord bracelets will be available for purchase.

Stay tuned for final details!  THank you to everyone who has ordered plants, offered to help, sent words of encouragement and supported Kyle!

Meeting Dog Tags Niagara

4/28/2014

Hi everyone!

I got to meet some people from Dog Tags Niagara yesterday. I had a lot of fun feeding Hotdogs to the doggies and got to see some puppies and pet them and carry one back to the back. I got to see the laundry room, and the food room, and the room where they fix sick dogs.

Mr. Joe gave me a pin to wear from his hat. It's a 6 with a star. It means I got your 6 or I got your back. I watched the video about it today and subscribed to the YouTube channel too.

Everyone was really nice. Mr. Joe said he was in the Revolutionary War with General Washington. I asked Mommy how he could be because he would be like really old. Like 200 years old. Mommy said he was kidding and said he was in the Vietnam War. The other people I met were all in the Army and were in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Remember to order plants! Mommy has order forms.

Thanks for your support!

All is Falling Into Place

Hi Everyone!

Things are starting to be put together for our summer event.  Today my Daddy reserved the shelter at Fairmount Park for June 7th.  We will be shelter number 3, right in the middle.  Mommy has been talking to the greenhouse people, his name is Denny, to work out what plants we are going to sell.  Mommy is going to talk about it later tonight.  My plan is to have a carnival, with games and prizes, we are going to have hotdogs available for donation.  Admission to the event is to bring a donation for Dog Tags Niagara.  Stuff they need is
Leashes
Pet Food
Collars
beds
toys

We will also be needing volunteers to help make salads and desserts to go with hotdogs, tell my Mommy how you can help if you can, please.  I also want to sell Loom bracelets.  I am asking for help from my friends, Warriors and people who can make them, to donate to sell.  We are going to make paracord bracelets to sell also.

Mommy got an email from a company that helps with websites, and posters and stuff too, they want to help.  That is really cool.  I am excited that people are still following my blog and who are helping.  Thank you for your support!
Kyle

Hi Everyone!  Mom here!!  Well we have some exciting news, as Kyle said the shelter is reserved for June 7th, I have been working with Denny Bengert, Owner of Bengert Greenhouses.  Real nice guy!  He is offering 3 1/2 inch Geraniums in a variety of colors as well as Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Green Peppers, and Oregano, Basil and Parsley for us to sell.  We will be selling the plants for $3 a piece by pre-order as well as having some available for sale at the event on June 7th.  We will have all orders delivered on June 7th to the park for the event, people who pre-order can pick them up there.  I am going to make up an order form,  we would need to have your order no later than May23rd with payment.  We will accept cash, or check, or I can set up a paypal order if you prefer to do it that way.  Once I complete the order form I can pass it out or you can email me what you would like, leave a comment or give us a call!  I want to send a big thank you to Denny Bengert who has been helping me with the plant arrangements and answering all of my questions and getting us all set up to help make this a successful event!

I was contacted by New York Global Marketing Solutions, who has offered their services of helping us with his website and helping with the art work for any posters.  We are very excited about this and want to thank Meg and the owner Vincent for reaching out to us and offering their services and talent!

Stay Tuned as we start pulling all of this together.  As Kyle mentioned, we are going to need volunteers to make salads and desserts, and anyone who has kids who knows how to make loom bracelets, we would love their help as well!

Thank you for your continued support of Kyle, he is really looking forward to another successful fundraiser.

Summer fundraiser

3/20/2014

Hi everyone! I have decided on my summer charity. We will be supporting Dog Tags Niagara. This is a group of Veterans that work with the animals at the SPCA, this helps the animals be ready to be adopted and helps the Veterans with feeling better after being in the war or feeling bad.

My Mom is going to reserve a shelter at the park. We are trying for June 7th. I want to do a flower sale and a carnival. Have food like hotdogs, popcorn, and other things. My Mom said she is going to talk to places that sell flowers to get them to come out or if we can buy them cheap and sell or something else.

I hope we can have another fun event and help the Veterans and all the animals.

Thank you all for helping me and supporting me and my Warriors!

Hi everyone! Well that is it! We took all the donations the Commander Tidd for the Disabled Veterans and The Corner Stone Manor. I have not been feeling good today so did not get to take a tour of the Shelter. Maybe another time.

The event went great! I had so much fun. Santa even came!! He gave me a bell and said to put it on my dresser and whenever I feel upset to hold it and think a happy thought and I will feel better. He gave one to Zach too. He even said I was now one of his personal friends!

I want to thank everyone who helped out. Aunt Jen, Aunt Amanda, uncle Billy, Kayla, Grandma Dale, Grandma Darlene, Great Grandma, Lyle, Miss Lori, Mrs. Desai, Aunt Tina and Jordan. And my teacher Mrs. Dinse for helping me at school. And my warriors

Zach, Reilly, Emma, Lilly, Melissa.

Thank you to all who came to the event and those who donated baskets and food.

I also got to meet Madison from Madison Gives who inspired me.

I hope you had fun! Following me on FAcebook for updates on new things to come and for next year!

Hi everyone! Wow we are getting down to the wire here! Kyle is very excited and cannot wait! Here are some details for the event.

Doors open at 5pm. Admission to the event is a donation for the Cornerstone Manor or Disabled Veterans. Kyle is asking for Single serve snacks, coloring books, wash cloths, towels, character wash clothes and towels for the Cornerstone Manor and New toys for Disabled Veterans. If you would prefer to donate monetarily you can do that also.

Chinese Auction

We have around 23 baskets/gift certificates that are available to try and win. You will receive 1 sheet of auction tickets with your donation. More will be available to purchase- $5 a sheet or 5 sheets for $20. The big ticket items will have seperate tickets available, 5 tickets for $3 or 10 tickets for $5 or an arms length for $10.

You do NOT need to be present to win, just add your name and phone number to the back of your tickets. We will begin drawing names at 830pm.

Food

We will have Pizza, popcorn, desserts, and punch available. We are not asking a price for them but rather whatever you can donate towards it- we will have cans available to leave donations on the table.

Chair Massages

Jessica Galvin is a licensed massage therapist and will be offering chair massages for donations. There is no specific amount just whatever you can donate.

Games/crafts

Kyle has decided to go with a carnival theme for games. They will be set up for kids to play. We will also have a craft table with stickers and coloring sheets and other Holiday type crafts that the kids can take home when they are done if they want.

Suprise visitor will be around 7:30pm. Kyle does not know this.

We hope to see lots of people! Kyle has worked really hard and is looking forward to it. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone! We have 5 days and counting till the event. I didn't count today because it's almost over. On Friday I will be checking and picking up the donations from Christ the King Prep, the bank and bringing home the ones from school. Mommy is going to get Elf hats or Santa hats for my helpers on Saturday. Remember the event starts at 5 at the Wheatfield Community Center and it will end at 9. Mommy is going to update later tonight about things she needs to tell everyone about the event.

8 Days until Christmas, what do you want for Christmas? I told Santa on Last Saturday that I would be happy with what he brought me. He said he would leave me 1 maybe 2 special things. I gave him a flyer to see if he could help too.

Thanks everyone!
